Peak District Fishing

Over many years the Waltonian Angling Club has taken a progressive outlook towards expanding its fishing and now owns, outright, excellent fishing in the heart of the Peak District. The club also leases other waters to give an all-rounded fishing experience

High Quality Mixed Fishing

The Waltonian Angling Club is known for its superb game / fly fishing beats on the Derbyshire Derwent rivers but there are also excellent coarse fishing venues available to members.

We take great pride in the maintenance and accessibility of our waters.  We conduct Riverfly monitoring on a regular basis and further checks on the water and invertebrate life are carried out by an expert biologist. Regular Health and Safety checks are carried out on club facilities to ensure a safe angling experience.

We have extensive fishing rights on:

·       Multiple sections of the River Derwent between Ladybower and Darley Dale

·       The River Lathkill

In addition, we have coarse fishing on the tidal River Trent at Carlton, Nottinghamshire and stunning still water ponds at Carlton and Hassop Hall. We have affiliations with other clubs where sea fishing and night fishing trips for sea trout, on the River Wear, is available for a nominal additional fee.

All enquiries regarding membership should be forwarded to the email address enquiries@thewaltonians.co.uk
